Victoria s three new cases of coronavirus found in family members who returned from Sydney on a red zone permit broke quarantine requirements.
Two of the cases found in the family were announced yesterday and another family member in the household returned a positive test result overnight.
Health officials have warned the fourth family member may also test positive in the coming days.
The family of four had been undertaking 14 days of quarantine inside their home in the City of Hume.

Six new exposure sites have been listed in and around Melbourne after a family of four returned from Sydney to their home in Craigieburn last week. Two of them have tested positive for COVID-19 so far.
On top of that, a group of three removalists also travelled from Sydney to deliver furniture to a family of four in Craigieburn and another in Maribyrnong, before heading onward to Adelaide and then returning to Sydney. One of the removalists was confirmed by NSW Health to have been a close contact of a case in Sydney.
Apparently health authorities’ interviews with this trio of removalists are proving “complex and challenging” which sounds like a bad thing.
The NSW chief health officer, Dr Kerry Chant, said people who live in apartment buildings should not be gathering in common areas, even citing putting the rubbish out as a risk.
“This is a reminder of the risk that Covid poses and why we were requiring masks … in indoor common property areas of residential premises and also discourage social gatherings or any gatherings across household groups in those apartment buildings as well,” she said.
Residents of an apartment building in Maribyrnong were delivered a letter on Tuesday ordering them to go into isolation for 14 days, after a Covid-positive removalist worked at the address on 8 July.
