Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that keeping in view the coronavirus situation, his government would intervene to to make oxygen plants operational at steel mills against a cost of Rs1 billion.
“We are passing through a very serious situation; therefore, we have to be prepared to face any emergency.” Said CM in a meeting with the leading doctors at CM House on Tuesday.

KARACHI: The Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has said that keeping in view the Covid-19 situation in the country, especially in Sindh, his government would intervene to make both the units of oxygen at Pakistan Steel Mills operational at the cost of Rs 1 billion.
“We are passing through a very serious situation; therefore, we have to be prepared to face any emergency,” Murad Ali Shah said while speaking to senior doctors and leading physicians at the CM House on Tuesday.

CM orders strict steps as Karachi’s District East reports 22pc positive cases

KARACHI: Covid-19 positivity has reached 22 per cent in District East of Karachi, followed by Hyderabad where the detection rate has soared to 19 per cent, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Monday, and directed the district administrations to take strict measures to implement the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in both the districts.
Presiding over a meeting of the Covid-19 Task Force at the CM House, he observed that during the last seven days, the virus had hit new highs in Karachi East, where the detection rate had reached 22 per cent, Hyderabad 19 per cent, District South 13 per cent and District Central 10 per cent.
Covid-19 positivity has reached 22 per cent in District East of Karachi, followed by Hyderabad where the detection rate has soared to 19 per cent, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Monday,.

KARACHI: As the country battles a dangerous third wave of the coronavirus, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that his government would “intervene” to operationalise the oxygen plants installed at the Pakistan Steel Mill at the cost of Rs1 billion.
“We are passing through a very serious situation; therefore, we have to be prepared to face any emergency,” said CM Murad while speaking to leading doctors at the CM House on Tuesday.
The CM told the health officials that the new wave of has badly affected major cities of Pakistan.
