CM orders boosting Expo Centre daily vaccination capacity to 50,000 Karachi May 11, 2021 Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the provincial health department to acquire another hall at the mega vaccination facility at the Expo Centre Karachi and enhance the vaccination centre’s capacity from 25,000 vaccinations to 50,000 vaccinations per day. The CM issued the direction to this effect while presiding over a meeting of the provincial task force on coronavirus at the CM House on Monday. Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho informed the meeting said that as per the decision of the chief minister, a mass vaccination centre with a capacity of 25,000 vaccinations per day had been established at one of the halls of the Expo Centre. To this, the CM said that only restricting people at their homes was not enough as the government had to make them secure by launching mass vaccination drives.

PPI/File KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday directed the health department to take measures to increase the capacity of the mega vaccination centre at Expo Centre from 25,000 to 50,000 people per day. “I want health department to develop the vaccination capacity of 100,000 per day . this will help secure our population through a mass vaccination system,” he said while presiding over a meeting of the Provincial Task Force on Coronavirus here at CM House. The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, Saeed Ghani, Nasir Shah, Jam Ikram Dharejo, Adviser Murtaza Wahab, Parliamentary Secretary Qasim Siraj Soomro, Chief Secretary Mumtaz Shah, IG Sindh Mushtaq Mahar, Home Secretary Usman Chachar, Commissioner Naveed Shaikh and others.

CM Sindh orders providing Covid vaccine to private hospitals for free inoculation Karachi File photo Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the health department to start giving Covid-19 vaccines to private hospitals with the directive that these vaccines would be administered to the people free of charge. Presiding over a meeting of the provincial Covid-19 Task Force at the CM House on Thursday, he said that as per a National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) decision, all private hospitals were required to inoculate the public with Covid-19 vaccines and asked the health department to ensure that the vaccine was provided to private health facilities for vaccinating the masses.
