The victim was crossing E. 17th St. near Broadway when the tow truck rammed into her about 1:55 p.m., police said. “She stopped crossing the street. It happened in a second, a split second, and she was dead immediately,” said Riham Mohamed, who witnessed the tragic scene. “It happened quickly.” Authorities confirmed that the woman was dead at the scene.
