By: News 9 News 9’s Amazing Oklahoman was celebrated Monday afternoon as AAA s Safety Patrol Advisor of the Year. Stefani Stuemky has led the safety patrol at Monroe Elementary for 21 years volunteering at least two hours a day.

SCSD No 2 Offers Free Summer Meals

GREEN RIVER The Sweetwater County School District No. 2 Nutrition Services Department has announced the free summer food program which will be offered June 1 through July 30. Everyone 18 years old and younger can eat for free through this summer meal program. Additionally, adults can purchase a meal for $4. Meal pick up will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at all locations. Locations include Monroe Elementary, Truman Elementary, Washington Elementary, and Harrison Elementary. Advertisement - Story continues below. Monroe Elementary pick up will be at the back of the building inside the cafeteria. Truman pick up will be in the cafeteria. To pick up at Washington, people are asked to use the door in the small parking lot and go to the cafeteria. At Harrison, people can pick up by using the back door off the playground.
