With dreams in her eyes- the ever gritty Manya Singh, daughter of an auto-rickshaw driver ran away from her village in Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai by train and went on to win Miss India 2020 runner-up and won the hearts of many! “My journey has been hard but I have been harder on myself,” said the tenacious Manya.
She believes it is important to go through hurdles to emerge stronger. “I did not know anyone in Mumbai when I boarded the train from Uttar Pradesh. But I knew I wanted to do something and inspire young women. So many doors shut on my face, but I did not give up.”
