Yannick Cupido, 24, was fatally attacked shortly before 1am on February 14 in Managua Close, Reading. The young man was pronounced deas at the scene in Caversham. Thames Valley Police launched an ongoing murder investigation and today (May 4) has charged another person in connection with the investigation. Managua Close. It follows on from Joseph O’Neal , aged 28, of Amersham Road, Caversham, being charged with one count of murder on February 17 in connection with the incident.

THE family of a man who died in Caversham after being stabbed in the chest have paid tribute to “a precious soul with a heart of gold”.
Yannick Cupido, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene in Managua Close at around 12.55am on Sunday, February 14.
A post mortem took place three days later and the cause of death was found to be a stab wound to the left lung and pulmonary artery.
Cupido was originally from South Africa and was born in Cape Town, but he came to join his family in England two and a half years ago.

Sadly, over the last year multiple people have lost their lives due to knife crime. In June 2020, a lone knifeman stormed Forbury Gardens and killed three men, James Furlong, 36, David Wails, 49, and Joseph Ritchie-Bennett, 39. In January this year, 13-year-old Olly Stephens was stabbed to death in Bugs Bottom in Caversham. Two men have also lost their lives due to knife crime in the last month alone. Raheem Hanif, 26, was stabbed on February 6 after reports of a fight in Dulnan Close in Tilehurst.
