She was left outside an animal rescue in Elmsford - and the man who left her was caught on surveillance video driving away.
Fortunately, an animal rescue group found the dog before she suffocated.
When employees found her, she had chewed and scratched her way out of the bag so she could breathe - even breaking her nails in the process. This was just cruelty, says Ernest Lungaro, of the SPCA Westchester Humane Law Enforcement.

A Poway woman is spreading the word on the importance of leash laws and dog parks after her dog was fatally injured in an attack by an unleashed dog in Garden Road Park on Saturday.
Cynthia Elizondo said she and her husband, Ricardo, were walking their 6-year-old miniature schnauzer, Chikis, in the park on Saturday when the attack happened. A man was throwing a ball for his unleashed, medium-sized, mixed-breed dog, she said. The dog ran toward the Elizondos, something that initially did not concern them.
