Police in Derry have renewed an appeal for information after a man was abducted in the city and taken to the Claudy area where he was shot.
A PSNI spokesperson said police received a report at around 11.40pm on Monday that a man had been picked up by several males in a car, from the Letterkenny Road area of city and driven to the Heathfield Road area of Claudy where he was shot once in the leg.

The Police Ombudsman is investigating after a man was shot during an incident in Derry last night.
A PSNI spokesperson said that officers responded to a report of concern for safety for a man at an address in Celandine Court in Gobnascale at approximately 10.45pm last night. As officers were dealing with the incident, a police firearm was discharged and the male sustained a chest injury. He remains in hospital at this time, the spokesperson said.

The latest attack happened in the Currynierin area last night.
Police said it was reported that two men forced their way into a house at Whitethorn Drive shortly before 11pm and shot a male occupant a number of times in the leg.
The extent of the victim s injuries are not yet known.
The shooting came just two days after a similar attack in the Bogside area of Derry.
A man in his 20s was shot twice in the leg when a number of masked men forced their way into a flat at Meenan Drive on Tuesday night.

Detectives are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Southway area of Derry tonight.
A man in his 30s was shot in the leg shortly before 7:30pm and he has since been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Detective Sergeant Burns said “Enquiries are continuing and at this stage, we are treating this shooting incident as a paramilitary style assault. Those responsible for this barbaric act do not represent the interests of this community, nor do they contribute anything to it.
