The revamped Snow White ride at Disneyland has become a topic of debate on Twitter after several outlets began criticizing the ride’s grand finale featuring the “true love’s kiss” between Snow White and the prince.
While a kiss between two characters is nothing new, Snow White’s kiss happens while she is asleep. In the fairytale, Snow White is poisoned by the evil queen and can only be awakened by “true love’s kiss.”
However, outlets like the San Francisco Gate have criticized the fact that Snow White is asleep for the kiss and could not give the prince her consent.

Standing at the Disneyland gates at 8:30 on Friday morning, we heard a sound in the distance. A sound no one had heard in more than 400 days: a long, friendly whistle, followed by the chugging of a steam train engine.
