Members of the Timmins Police Service – Emergency Response Team located the deceased body of Gabriel Murray, 32, of Timmins early this afternoon.

Murray had been reported to the Timmins Police Service as a “missing person” on April 27th.
Foul play is not suspected in this case.
Next-of-kin have been notified.
A search was underway along the banks of the Mattagami River just off Norman Street.
The immediate area where the deceased was found remains under the control of the Timmins Police Service in order for officers to complete their investigative tasks.

City council awarded a pair of water/wastewater-related contracts during its April 6 meeting.
Toronto-based Fer-Pal Construction Ltd. was awarded a contract, valued at $1,698,960, plus HST, for watermain lining of water filtration plant river crossings and the Feldman Development contract.

It was the lone bid received in response to the tender.
The second, in the amount of $278,329.45 plus HST, for CCTV camera inspection of sanitary sewers was awarded to Brantford-based Wessuc Inc.
Patrick Seguin, the city’s director of public works and engineering, indicated Fer-Pal Construction Ltd. has worked on similar watermain lining projects for the municipality.

The City of Timmins finally has a Water and Wastewater Financial Plan, following Tuesday’s council meeting.
