Redspencer is celebrating the release of their second album ‘Dreamworld’ at Bar Open with the help from ‘Roller One’ and ‘Powerful Owl’. Glen Innes dream-pop band – ‘Redspencer’ and their mostly un-cool road to releasing a second album. Frontman/songwriter David McMillan and his younger brother/guitarist hail from the rural northern NSW town of Glen Innes, where they were homeschooled and raised within the Pentecostal christian world where they also learned to play music in the church band. Though they have long since moved on from the Lord’s work, this set the musical foundation for what would later form Redspencer. They soon found themselves on the Gold Coast where they backslid into the bustling Surf Rock & Roots scene cutting their teeth in various bands. By the end of this era, the idea of Redspencer was born.
