Pantry breakfast club in Glasgow hailed a success THE Scottish Pantry Network will need more funding if it is to continue its breakfast club initiative which was deemed a success this Easter. The network ran a pilot scheme based at six food pantries during the school holidays in order to combat hunger and poverty and ensure children still had access to a meal. A breakfast pack consisting of cereal and milk was made available to anyone shopping in a pantry who had children at home. During the holidays 24,048 meals were provided at the club. Chairwoman of the Scottish Pantry Network (TSPN), councillor Mandy Morgan, said: “We would definitely like to continue the breakfast club we will have to find funding to continue this, but as you can see it has been really welcomed by our membership.
