A 31-year-old man facing jail has admitted a Worcester burglary but a judge says the court needs to hear more about the sad background of the case before he is sentenced. Thomas Hamilton appeared over videolink at Worcester Crown Court on Monday. He had already been convicted of one offence of burglary in Victoria Avenue, Worcester on May 19 this year and criminal damage, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. Hamilton pleaded guilty to the matters when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster on May 21 this year. Naomi Nelson-Cofie, defending, asked for an adjournment in the case not necessarily because he does not appreciate there s a likelihood of custody but because he tells me that he has been looked after by the probation service since his release from custody in March . Police are appealing for information after reports of a child approach in Oxley Vale yesterday.
About 8.50am, Wednesday 14 July 2021, a 12-year-old boy was walking towards the intersection of Higgins Lane and Manilla Road, Oxley Vale when he was approached by an unknown man.
Police have been told the man exited the vehicle and attempted to grab the boy before he was able to get away from him.
Officers from Oxley Police District have commenced an investigation.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged between 30-35, 195cms tall, wearing blacking clothing with a black beanie.
