A new tool shows how many vaccinations each New Jersey town has, by percentage, and age group. (Shutterstock)
NEW JERSEY New Jersey has launched a new online dashboard that tracks coronavirus vaccinations town-by-town, officials announced on Monday
(see which South Jersey towns have the highest vaccine rates below).
The charts posted on the state s website track how many adults have received one dose of a vaccine, and how many have been fully vaccinated in each town across the state, by percentage, Gov. Phil Murphy said during a news conference.
It can also be broken down by age group, including 18-and-older and 65-and-older, Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said. Each town is shaded, with towns that have higher vaccination percentages being shaded the darkest.
Bill would stiffen penalties for illegal dumping in New Jersey
It s a problem that angers residents, vexes law enforcement and frustrates city public works employees: Illegally dumped trash, waste and debris can be found all over Camden neighborhoods, and it takes a toll in money and morale in a city struggling to come back from decades of decline.
Bill Moen, who represents the Fifth Legislative District along with fellow Democrats Bill Spearman and Sen. Nilsa Cruz-Perez, introduced a bill in the state Assembly Wednesday to try and address the problem by enacting stiffer penalties for illegal dumping and making it easier for property owners to seek compensation for clean-up and other expenses.
EPA funding for 25 cleaner-running school buses in NJ
School buses make up the largest public transportation fleet in the U.S., with 480,000 lumbering about in normal times meaning, when a pandemic isn’t raging. And in those normal times, they ferry 26 million children to and from school each day. Their widespread return to the roads will be just one more signal of a return to normal.
The problem is that many school buses don’t exactly run clean. And, while the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has implemented standards to make newer diesel engines more than 90% cleaner, according to a press release from the EPA, many older diesel school buses still “emit large amounts of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and particulate matter, which are linked to instances of aggravated asthma, and other health effects or illnesses that can lead to missed days of work or school.”

The lastest town in South Jersey to put a halt on public use and the sale of marijuana is Brigantine according to a report in the Press of Atlantic City. Brigantine joins Ocean City and North Wildwood as towns that have banned Marijuana completely.
Ocean City has banned businesses from selling cannabis and Stone Harbor, Sea Isle City, Wildwood Crest, and Cape May will soon follow with similar bans according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
When it comes to the sale of marijuana, Officials in Northfield would strongly consider it especially since the possibilities of a revenue stream with job opportunities and tax revenue would exist.
The Direct Connection road project, designed to ease congestion at the intersection of I-295, I-76 and Route 42, could now be delayed further by the wall collapse.
It was already one of the longest and most expensive road-building projects in New Jersey, and it just got longer and even more costly.
The Direct Connection project, designed to smooth traffic flows on I-295 at Bellmawr in Camden County, hit a major tie-up in late March with the collapse of a new retaining wall on the northbound side of the highway. That collapse forced one lane to close while repairs are made, and leading the Department of Transportation to warn of “heavy congestion” at an already notorious interchange where the interstate meets I-76 and Route 42.
