MV Ever Giving was diagonally lowered into the Suez Canal and returned on Monday
Cairo, Egypt:
The Suez Canal Authority of Egypt said on Saturday that shipping traffic stuck on important waterways has been cleared for almost a week because of a huge container vessel.
“All ships have been waiting in the waterway since the completion of the (MV) Hour Giving,” SCA chief Osama Rabi said in a statement by the Canal Authority.
The 200,000-tonne megaship was returned on Monday, at which point the backlog reached more than 400 ships.
