The Lubbock Police Department is one step closer to finding out exactly what happened to 34-year-old Sandy Cervantes.
Skeletal remains discovered more than a year ago in Hockley County have finally been identified. The Lubbock Police Department says they discovered skeletal remains inside an abandoned house in Hockley County back in April of 2020.
KAMC News reports that a forensic Odonatologist was able to use dental records to confirm that the remains belong to 34-year-old Sandy Cervantes, a woman and mother of 3 who went missing in Lubbock in June 2019.
According to another report, friends of Cervantes told authorities that they believed Cervantes to be in danger as early as June 2019, but that her family did not officially report her missing until February 2020 and an investigation was opened.
