Nearly 50 years and a thousand miles later, a San Antonio woman will reunite with the wedding ring she lost in the Chicago snow.
The Chicago Tribune recently shared the story of the wedding ring Karen Autenrieth lost in 1973 while helping her three small children into the car outside her grandma s house in a Windy City neighborhood. She looked around when she realized her ring slipped off, then went back after the snow melted to search a second time to no avail.
