Lifetime Reveals 2021 Christmas Movie Plans, Here’s What We Know So Far

The holiday season may not still be arriving for a few months yet, but Lifetime is already looking further ahead than the rest of us by already announcing some of the planned projects in the works for their 2021 Christmas movies season.
After pulling off an ambitious and diverse holiday season in 2020 with a 24/7 marathon of movies from October-December and the premiere of 34 new titles, the cable channel is already starting to lay the groundwork for their 2021 holiday event. While production on different projects is in various stages, the network has already announced plans for at least one major project.

When winter holiday romance movies take over the cable airwaves, viewers can count on a few constants: Man and woman meet, usually in a charming small town that holds a Christmas festival. They then fall in love before hitting a rough patch only to go on to live happily ever after.
But the films that aired this past December didn t stick to the formula.
The storylines were basically the same, but the leads were much different. They weren t just white, but Black, Asian, and Hispanic. Men fell in love with men. One woman used a wheelchair. And, for the past couple of years, a couple of movies have celebrated Hanukkah, a Jewish observance.

There’s still one new movie premiere left before “it’s a Wonderful Lifetime” comes to an official close for 2020, but that doesn’t mean fans can’t look back and enjoy potentially one last showing of some of the best movies that have come from the programming event in 2019 and 2020.
Lifetime will be airing a “Best of It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” marathon on Christmas Eve, which follow the same format as the entire event by playing 24/7 holiday movies, though this marathon will focus on films that debuted in the last few months, as well as a few favorites from last year’s event as well. So which movies made the cut? Check out the full schedule below:
