MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) â Mankato Area Public School Districtâs summer programs are expanding this year.
Kindergarten through 5th graders enrolled in summer school will be at Rosa Parks Elementary from July 6 to Aug. 5, Monday through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition, the district also added two on-site counselors for the elementary program.
âWe really wanted to add that social and emotional support for kids because, like everybody, itâs been a really tough year for kids as well,â Jefferson Elementary School principal Scot Johnson said.

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Deep inside the halls of Mankato East High School, three young girls are paving the way for others in S.T.E.M.
The seniors have been part of the Cougars’ VEX Robotics teams for six years now.
“I do remember the day, when Lauren came running up the stairs saying ‘let’s join Robotics,” Your Ex team member Kendyl Stuever said.
