Harding University’s spring commencement ceremonies will be held Friday and Saturday, May 7 and 8, celebrating the accomplishments of more than 800 students. A ceremony will be held Friday, May 7 at 4 p.m., and four ceremonies will be held Saturday, May 8 at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the University’s George S. Benson Auditorium. All COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing and safety will be followed.
Members of this semester’s graduating class represent 16 different nations and territories, as well as 42 states.
Degrees will be conferred from the College of Allied Health, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Bible and Ministry, Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration, Cannon-Clary College of Education, Carr College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Sciences, Honors College and University College.

Japheth Varlack, a senior mathematics major with music and computer science minors at Lee University, has received the national Goldwater Scholarship, awarded to college students who intend to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering.
From an estimated pool of over 5,000 college students, 1,256 natural science, engineering, and mathematics students were nominated by 438 academic institutions across the United States to compete for one of the 410 Goldwater scholarships awarded this year. Goldwater Scholars have impressive academic and research credentials that have garnered the attention of prestigious post-graduate fellowship programs.
The McNair Scholars Program at WSU-Pullman prepares eligible undergraduates for their future doctoral studies. The program is now accepting applications for the 2021-22 Cohort.
