It was not until eight years into her career, when someone pushed her to consider moving into that kind of role, that she realized it was an option for her.
“It makes me question, what effect does that have on young girls?” she said of never seeing a female principal. “If they’re not witness to formal female leaders, what impact does that have on them?”
