State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will participate in a series of foreign ministers meetings on East Asia cooperation via video link from Tuesday to Friday, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry.
Wang will take part in the China-ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting; the ASEAN-China, Japan, Republic of Korea Foreign Ministers Meeting; the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers Meeting; and the ASEAN Regional Forum Foreign Ministers Meeting.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of dialogue relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Candidates wishing to compete in the upcoming Legislative Assembly election of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) must be patriots, the Electoral Affairs Commission for the election said on Monday.
While examining whether a candidate is qualified to stand for election, the commission not only checks if the candidate has signed relevant statements, but also needs to review if the candidate has conducted acts of not upholding the Basic Law of the Macao SAR, or not pledging allegiance to the Macao SAR, said Tong Hoi Fong, chairman of the commission, during a press briefing.

MACAO The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) is set to hold the Legislative Assembly election on Sept 12 this year, according to an executive order published Monday at the Macao SAR Gazette.
A separate executive order, also published on Monday, set the spending cap for each campaigning team for the election at 3,549,622 patacas.
In line with the Macao SAR Basic Law, Macao s Legislative Assembly is composed of 33 seats, including 14 directly-elected seats, 12 indirectly-elected seats and seven others appointed by the SAR chief executive. (1 US dollar equals 8 patacas)
