LAKELAND A Lakeland health care provider has launched a COVID-19 vaccine waiting list for its patients, but needs more supplies to move forward.
Watson Clinic announced its own online vaccine registration portal via Facebook and social media on Wednesday. It is inviting the clinic s senior patients, age 65 and older, to receive a shot when supplies become available. It s a preregistration form, so we are fully prepared when the time comes, said Jenny Baker, spokeswoman for Watson Clinic.
Seniors can go online to www.watsonclinic.com/forms/covid-19-pre-registration-process.html to register. Individuals are asked to provide their mailing address, email address, phone number and date of birth.

KENTUCKY (KFVS) - Ballard Countyâs new band director, Nolan Case, had a busy December.
He graduated from Murray State University, got married, and got his first full-time teaching job.
Case, an Owensboro native, was student-teaching at Paducah Middle School last fall when the Ballard job opened up.
He said he spoke to several colleagues and MSU contacts, and all spoke highly of the program and community.

More than 19,000 people had registered for vaccinations as of Friday morning through phone lines and the website, a number that swelled to nearly 30,000 by the afternoon.
Polk County launched an online COVID-19 vaccination portal Thursday creating a second method for seniors to sign up.
The online vaccination portal at register.polk.health went live about 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Senior citizens age 65 and older can register by providing their name, date of birth and contact information to receive an appointment when supplies become available.
“This is something we have been developing, but wanted to get right,” Polk Commissioner Rick Wilson said in a press statement. “Relying on the proven technology we used to register Polk’s residents for CARES Act funding, we worked with the Florida Department of Health to develop an efficient online system to register the public for the COVID-19 vaccine.
