The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited( MSEDCL) has directed all the regional offices to recover the arrears and immediately cut off power supply if the payments are made. At the end of December 2020, the state has a total due pending of Rs 63,740 crore, which has worsened the financial condition of MSEDCL. Now, if the customer does not pay the electricity bill, MSEDCL will have no choice but to cut off the power supply, said the order.

AP NEW DELHI: State-owned EESL and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company on Tuesday announced commissioning of about 8 megawatt solar-agro project at Devdaithan, Maharashtra. The 7987 KW project in Ahmednagar district is part of Energy Efficiency Services Ltd s (EESL) commitment to the state under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana, wherein it will supply the state discom with 679 MW of solar power. The project was completed in six months.
