Police are investigating after a man was shot three times during a dispute with two men in Bloomfield.

Officials said a man was assaulted and was driven to a nearby hospital by two acquaintances who were in the car with him at the time of the shooting.

Thousands of customers experienced power outages in the state Sunday, according to information from Eversource and United Illuminating.
As of 5:37 p.m., outage data for Eversource showed 2,270 customers experiencing outages in the state, with the highest numbers in Bloomfield with 337, Montville with 325 and Vernon with 260.
United Illuminating had 3,198 customers experiencing outages, according to data updated at 5:39 p.m., with the highest numbers recorded at 2,544 in West Haven and 597 in Easton.
