Share An accidental shooting resulted in the death of a male juvenile in Blum Saturday, January 23. Hill County Sheriff s Office deputies were called to the scene in the 1300 block of State Highway 174 just before 4 p.m. after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a juvenile with a gunshot wound to the head. An investigation revealed that the juvenile was in possession of a small-caliber handgun that he believed was unloaded, according to the sheriff s office. Responding units performed CPR, and the youth was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, according to the sheriff s office.
