A QUIET PLACE 2 - Horror Movie Review
I m sure I m not alone when I say that John Krasinski surprised the hell out of me with his monstrous horror debut, A Quiet Place which currently sits at a stunning 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. It catapulted John Krasinski into the role of auteur and put his career as a dramatic actor on the fast track. Its success even got him the lead role on Tom Clancy s Jack Ryan.
With its sequel, A Quiet Place Part II debuting this Friday, May 28th, we have the video review of the film linked above. Our critic Eric Walkuski loved it, saying, It s positively successful in what it sets out to do from start to finish. A Quiet Place Part II is superb entertainment. Highlander II: The Quickening may be one the biggest WTF sequels ever put to film. After the first entry gained legendary status thanks to VHS and the booming home video market, a sequel was guaranteed. But after the second entry bombed, it became a punching bag for critics, fans, and it seemed like the end was nigh.
In 1994 Andrew Morahan stepped into the director s chair with the hope of giving fans the sequel they always deserved. Highlander III: The Final Dimension retconned Highlander II and tried to do right by the audience. Did Morahan succeed? Yes, and no. Part 3 is the closest we got to a good sequel, even if it proves that you can t catch lightning in a bottle twice. For this episode of The Black Sheep, we give some love to the underrated Highlander III: The Sorcerer aka Highlander III, aka aka Highlander III: The Final Dimension.
