In our second episode, we will discuss one of the greatest horror anthologies of all time, Tales from the Crypt. This show came out swinging 1989 with Joel Silver, David Giler, Walter Hill, and Bob Zemekis as executive producers. Pairing those powerhouses with HBO brought us some of the best episodes in horror television history due to the writing talent as well as the star power. Take a seat kiddies as we fondly remember some gruesome tales, game show spinoffs, and that eerie intro.

What is it about abandoned asylums that so unnerves us? Do we really believe bad vibes have been left behind, grudges from those unfortunate souls who suffered within before dying or being transferred somewhere else? Or maybe what we fear isn t a ghost at all, but something very much alive. On this episode of The Best Horror Movie You Never Saw, we look at Brad Anderson s chilling Session 9.

Much has been written about his classic films like Halloween and The Thing. But today, we’re taking a closer look at one of my favorite John Carpenter films, the original 1980 version of The Fog and what we d like to see from a sequel!

Lugosi, Chaney, Karloff…these are the original icons of horror entertainment. They were the pantheon of the macabre and were followed by actors like Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing. There are legends of horror for every generation and when it comes to the modern classics there are names that you’ll find repeated, part of that new era of gods of horror. And one name rises high and above on that list when it comes to the sheer number of people he’s slaughtered on screen. And that name is Kane Hodder.
