CLEVELAND, Ohio Glenn R. Brown Jr., the leader who helped merge the faculties of Case Institute of Technology and Western Reserve College and the former senior vice president of technology and planning at Standard Oil of Ohio, died Sunday. He was 90. His cause of death is not known.
Brown’s drive to help his community and be a light for others was one of his most notable qualities. When Brown retired in 1986 from Standard Oil, which British Petroleum acquired, he had worked for the company for 34 years.

It s back in person. Music lovers can once again experience the Tri-C JazzFest live again in 2021.
The 42nd annual festival is presented by KeyBank and in partnership with Cain Park. It returns on September 11 and 12 at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights.
A variety of national acts will be performing at Cain Park this year, in the covered Evans Amphitheater there.
The 2020 edition of the festival took place entirely online due to COVID-19 restrictions.

A signature Northeast Ohio cultural event that went virtual last year will be back in person in 2021 at a new venue.
Cuyahoga Community College on Friday, May 14, announced that the Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland will return on Sept. 11 and 12 and will take place at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights. The event typically is held at Playhouse Square in the summer.
The 2020 edition of JazzFest took place online due to COVID-19 restrictions.
This year s two-day outdoor festival will feature a variety of national acts performing under the covered Evans Amphitheater, Tri-C said in a news release.
