A man has been sent to jail after racking up his 15th and 16th drink-driving convictions. Picton man Mark Carroll, 50, was pulled over by police on Buller St in Picton on Christmas Day 2020. A breath test recorded 801 micrograms (mcg) of alcohol per litre of breath, more than three times the legal limit of 250mcg. On March 13 this year, he was again stopped by police, this time on State Highway 1 in Blenheim, recording 1001mcg. A tomahawk was also found in his car.
