Tipene appeared via audiovisual link in the Blenheim District Court on Tuesday for sentencing on two charges of shoplifting, two charges of burglary and two charges of breaching home detention.
On April 5, Tipene went to “several addresses” in Riversdale, Blenheim.
He found an unattended house and entered through a sliding door. He stole electronics and washing detergent.
A short time later, Tipene forced entry through a window to another house.
The summary said Tipene stole multiple items, including knives and money.
