For the next few weeks, citizens can have a voice in the future of Lakeview Park in Frankfort. Some people have already been sharing their ideas. Recall those opportunities where you ve had the best time of your life and put those into the survey so that we can see if they fit within this property, said Philip Parnin with Pros Consulting, which has been tasked with gathering the community input.

The Falls Park Design Competition is a comprehensive evaluation of the entirety of Falls Park, with the goals to:

ISG Inc. from Sioux Falls, along with Norman Engineering
RDG Planning and Design from Des Moines, along with HDR Inc.
Stockwell Engineers from Sioux Falls, along with JLG Architects and OJB Landscape Architecture
The firms will all submit ideas for improving and expanding the park by September, and the winning firm will be selected by a committee.
That firm will then be awarded a design contract for the park in October, which may incorporate both their own ideas and some of the ideas created by the other firms.
