Whanganui Chronicle Well done on your report (April 3) on the special Long Term Plan meeting that the council convened to consider the velodrome issue, which in giving the public some clarity of the issues, seemed to raise many more on the process to date.
Sadly, in at last putting three options to the ratepayers, our council seem to have overlooked, even sidelined a small team of judicious and totally competent fellow ratepayers, the Regional Velodrome Development Trust (RVDT), who have led the charge for well over a decade. Why? Don t they trust them? .
MQM challenges recruitment process in Malir Development Authority
Karachi
April 17, 2021
The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday issued notices to the Malir Development Authority (MDA), Sindh Testing Service and others on a petition against the recruitment process with regard to appointments of grade 17 posts in the MDA. The court, however, made clear that the recruitment process was subject to the outcome of the petition as far as appointments in grade 16 and above were concerned.
Petitioner Khwaja Izharul Hasan, a Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader and member of the Sindh Assembly, had submitted in the petition that the MDA had issued an advertisement inviting applications for different posts in grade 1 to 17 on a regular basis.

An Australian court has found Google misled consumers into thinking they had disabled tracking on Android smartphones - by making opt-out a two-step process, with a second step that was not obvious.
The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission, which brought the legal action, wants financial penalties and a publication order for Google to better explain its process to users. These penalties will be decided at a later date, if the ruling survives appeals.
