Bronson splits girls softball DH with Parma Western By Jim Measel

PARMA, MI (WTVB) â The Bronson Vikings split a non-conference girls softball doubleheader on Thursday at Parma Western as the Vikings won the first game 6-1 but lost the nightcap 4-2.
Lynsey Smith was the winning pitcher in the first game as she did not allow a earned run and gave up five hits.
Haylie Wilson had three singles and three RBIâs while Smith had a double and a triple.
Jaydn Cary had two singles in the second game.
Bronson Coach Becky Gray said, âWe played good competition today and played well. We need to continue to work on getting timely hits and on the little things that will win us ballgames.â

HOMER, MI (WTVB) â The Bronson Vikings girls softball team improved to 10-0 in the Big 8 Conference and 18-5 overall as they swept a doubleheader at Homer on Tuesday by scores of 10-3 and 10-0.
Bronsonâs Lynsey Smith struck out 14 batters to earn the win in the opening game. Eight Bronson batters collected at least one hit. Addison Harris had two doubles. She along with Jaydn Cary and Dekoda Kline all drove in two runs. Maddie Ratkowski, Kline and Caitlyn Hagen all had two hits.
Harris was the winning in the second game as she tossed a two hit shutout and struck out five. Kline and Haylie Wilson both homered. Kline also had three RBIâs. Cary, Kline and Karissa Gest all had two hits.
