Police: Man with New Haven ties wanted in Waterbury homicide

WATERBURY Police on Wednesday released the identity of a second person they said is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 24-year-old city resident.
Waterbury police said they have obtained an arrest warrant for city resident Bobby Cooke, 54, on charges of murder, carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, criminal use of weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment and illegal discharge of a firearm.
Police described Cooke as being about 5-foot-11 and 210 pounds who has brown eyes and “and black short hair (balding).”

WATERBURY, Conn. A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened over the weekend.
Police responded to the area of Bronson Street and found 24-year-old Waterbury native Devante Echols with a gunshot wound to his head. Echols was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Investigators said they believe that an argument took place between the victim and other people in the area prior to the shooting
Kyshone Jackson was arrested in connection with the deadly shooting and is facing multiple charges including murder, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.

Waterbury police have arrested a man charged with murder after a deadly shooting over the weekend.

Echols was treated on scene and taken to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries. Investigators said it appeared Echols had been involved in an argument before the shooting.
