Waterbury police said they have obtained an arrest warrant for city resident Bobby Cooke, 54, on charges of murder, carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, criminal use of weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment and illegal discharge of a firearm. Police described Cooke as being about 5-foot-11 and 210 pounds who has brown eyes and “and black short hair (balding).”

45-year-old arrested in connection with Waterbury deadly shooting

Updated: 10:28 PM EDT July 12, 2021 WATERBURY, Conn. A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened over the weekend. Police responded to the area of Bronson Street and found 24-year-old Waterbury native Devante Echols with a gunshot wound to his head. Echols was pronounced dead at a hospital.  Investigators said they believe that an argument took place between the victim and other people in the area prior to the shooting Kyshone Jackson was arrested in connection with the deadly shooting and is facing multiple charges including murder, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.

Kyshone Jackson, 45, is accused in the death of 24-year-old Devante Echols, who was found with a gunshot wound to the head when police responded to a weapons call on Bronson Street Saturday.
