Police: Officer, suspect injured in Provo shooting

PROVO, Utah (AP) The Provo Police Department has said a police officer and a suspect were both shot during a gunfire exchange in an apartment complex on Thursday.
Police Chief Rich Ferguson reported that Officer John Oseguera, who has been with the department for two years, was shot twice and also suffered injuries to his head caused by shrapnel, the Deseret News reported.
Ferguson said he was still able to walk out of the building on his own. Oseguera was listed in stable condition at a hospital late Thursday.
“I’m angry. I’m proud, and I’m concerned. Those are my emotions right now,” Ferguson said during a news conference. “His wife is in shock, but she’s handling it well. We have a team that’s with her. . The officer actually called her on the way to the hospital and told her he loved her.”

Monrovia – The Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Mr. Mulbah K. Morlu has hailed Liberia’s Foreign Minister H.E. Dee – Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., for transforming the Ministry, restoring the dignity of the country’s Passport and making it affordable.
During a courtesy visit at the Ministry on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, the ruling party Chairman expressed excitement at Minister Kemayah’s work since taking over as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, saying he is impressed by the progressive attributes of the Minister and members of his staff at the ministry.
COVID-19: Abia orders compulsory test for residents

Worried by the continued rise in the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus, the Abia State Government has ordered a compulsory test for her residents.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Chris Ezem, on Wednesday, the state government said it would continue to evolve ways to protect Abia residents and its environment with a view to preventing further community transmission.
The state government, however, directed its residents to make themselves available for the free COVID-19 test.
The statement read, “We wish to inform Abians that Government has set up Sample Collection Centres at the various Local Government Areas including Infectious Disease Hospital, Aba and Molecular Testing Laboratory at Amachara. All sample collections and tests are free of charge.
