HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. â The Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office arrested a 19-year-old who was linked to a series of violent crimes over the course of several weeks.
Detectives said Jerome James Knight, 19, was arrested and is facing several charges.
The sheriff s office said detectives first responded to a homicide just before midnight on Dec. 22 at the Progress Village Recreational Center. When deputies arrived, they found a body inside the vehicle.

Man found dead inside vehicle at Progress Village Rec Center

TAMPA, Fla. - Investigators in Hillsborough County said the body of a man was found inside a vehicle in Tampa.
Just before midnight, deputies responded to Progress Village Recreation Center, located at 8701 Progress Boulevard, after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle.
When they arrived, they found the deceased man inside. As of Wednesday morning, they said officials are still determining a cause of death.
Deputies have not said whether they suspect any foul play.
They also have not identified the man.

PROGRESS VILLAGE, Fla. The Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office is investigating after deputies found a man dead inside a car Tuesday night.
Investigators said they were called to the Progress Village Recreational Center on Progress Boulevard about a suspicious car. When they got there they said they found a man dead inside. He had upper body trauma, deputies added.
They are working to identify him and notify his family. The investigation is in the early stages and detectives are asking for any information that may assist them in determining what led up to this incident.
