Action to move on travellers from Rayleigh Leisure Centre | Clacton and Frinton Gazette

Local residents have understandable concerns about litter, waste, noise and dogs running out of control. While there I spoke with deputy leader of the council Cheryl Roe, and the current incursion is being dealt with through the civil courts. I am confident that the police will support the council if there is evidence of criminal behaviour. To deal with unlawful encampments more effectively, we need the bill currently in front of parliament - which will make aggravated trespass a criminal offence, and for which local MP Mark Francois has campaigned - to become law. Burnley: Calico Homes and partners announce completion of 133 new homes | Lancaster And Morecambe Citizen

A HOUSING association has announced the completion of 133 new homes which it hopes will create vibrant neighbourhoods. The homes, built by Calico Homes with Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction and BTP Architects, can be found across four sites in Burnley and Pendle. Worth a total of £18.3 million, Calico says they are part of the association s wider plans to build housing across East Lancashire. Calico Homes managing director Mark Beach said: “We’ve invested in these four developments of high quality homes to help improve communities in Burnley. It’s been great to have architects BTP on board, they have designed homes that offer something for people of all ages and provide accessible homes for those who need them.”
