Edem Senanu breaks down in tears over Domelevo s forced retirement – Ghana Visions

+ Co-Chair of Citizens Movement Against Corruption, Edem Senanu has reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s decision to officially retire former Auditor-General, Daniel Yao Domelevo. Speaking on Joy Prime’s Beyond the Headlines Thursday, Mr Senanu could not hold back his tears when concluding his position on the matter. For him, individuals like Mr Domelevo must be praised and not chased out of office like the President has just done. “The teeming masses of Ghanaians would like to see the right thing done; men and women of faith and conscience who consider matters of integrity, hard work, and respect are crucial, want to salute him. Perhaps we will also have a Daniel Yaw Domelevo sooner than later.

Active cases double every 4 5 days — GMA

Listen to article Following the last update by President Akufo–Addo on the rising number of active Covid-19 situation on Sunday, the General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has explained that the current statistics show a doubling of the active cases every 4.5 days. He noted that every 3 active cases result in 6 active cases within 4-5 days. Thus present 5,358 number of active cases is likely to double to 10,716 active cases in a matter of 4-5 days. Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr. Justice Yankson advanced that, the current variant of the virus is 50-70% more infectious; with smaller molecules and stickier surfaces which allows it to easily attach to people and objects causing an increased rate of infection.

NDC to demand forensic audit of 2020 election outcome

+ The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed that it will soon demand a forensic audit of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary election results as it prepares to challenge the outcome of the polls. The leadership of the party has described the Electoral Commission’s results as a stolen verdict and has indicated it will exercise all options for redress. They have so far shied away from discussing its legal options. But speaking on Prime Morning on the Joy Prime Channel, Monday, the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini, said the party will demand a forensic audit of the election when they go to court.
