Some hit songwritersâ work is better known than they are. That may be true for Darrell Scott, who has penned such hits as The Chicksâ âLong Time Gone,â Travis Trittâs âItâs A Great Day To Be Alive,â Sara Evansâ âBorn To Flyâ and the oft-covered âYouâll Never Leave Harlan Alive.â
Thatâs not to say he is anonymous, particularly in Southwest Virginia, where over the past dozen years or so he has performed at FloydFest, Jefferson Center, the Lyric Theatre, Harvester Performance Center and Floyd Country Store.

The rodents will be brought to a site in Tottenham in north London. While most of the area is built-up, there are still places suitable for beavers, including a large marshland that urban planners and biologists hope the critters will find desirable. They are herbivores and can be found in the forests of North America, Europe, and Asia. They were hunted to near-extinction in Europe, with only 1,200 surviving at the turn of the 20
THE much-loved Vale of Clwyd Tractor Run will return this weekend after a year off in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Much like many other events on the Denbighshire calendar and beyond, the event was called off in 2020 in the interest of public safety. The last event in 2019 was the largest one to date with 66 tractor owners gathering at Denbigh Rugby Club to exhibit their trusty vehicles. Now, the Tractor Run will return this Sunday (June 6), once again setting off from the town s Rugby Club for 9.30am. The event is being held in conjunction with the DPJ Foundation which raises awareness for and provides support for those with mental health issues working in the agricultural and rural sectors.
