RESIDENTS at a care home in Yeovil received letters and cards from Preston CofE Primary School. The letters were sent to West Abbey Care Centre to help the residents feel connected with the community. Caroline Carter, general manager at the home, said the residents really enjoyed reading the letters and cards. “In these unprecedented times, ensuring residents feel engaged and connected within our local community is more important than ever, she said. Our residents really enjoyed receiving the cards from the local schoolchildren and it led to reminiscing about their times at school. We provide a range activities for residents, and this one was very popular.
