Palestinian envoy calls for deepening trade ties
Stresses need for promoting business linkages between private sectors of two sides
ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan and Palestine should focus on developing bilateral trade to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and create new opportunities of progress and prosperity for the people of both nations, said Ambassador of Palestine Ahmed Ameen Rabaie.
In a meeting with Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan on Friday, the envoy urged both countries to promote business linkages between their respective private sectors to explore all untapped areas of mutual cooperation.
“Both countries should deepen cooperation in diverse areas including economy, agriculture, banking, healthcare, education, social and culture,” he said.

In addition to the traditional markets, Pakistani mangoes are now entering the Australian and Japanese markets, announced Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood.
Inaugurating the mango festival on Friday, he said that the government was focusing on provision of all possible facilities and support to mango producers and exporters in a bid to tap new export markets for Pakistani mangoes.
