1,68,133 get second dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Rangpur 213 RANGPUR, April 21, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 1,68,133 citizens got the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine with inoculation of 11,985 more people today with the second dose of the jab in Rangpur division. Health officials said the 11,985 citizens, who were inoculated with the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine today, include 7,448 male and 4,537 female, of all eight districts in the division. “The total of 1,68,133 second dose recipient citizens, including 1,12,602 male and 55,531 female of the division, previously got the first dose at least two months ago,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Ahad Ali told BSS today.

Health officials said the 14,088 citizens, who were inoculated with the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine today, include 9,069 male and 5,019 female, of all eight districts in the division. “The total of 1,56,416 second dose recipient citizens, including 1,05,154 male and 51,262 female of the division, previously got the first dose at least two months ago,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Ahad Ali told BSS today.

COVID-19 cases reach 17,367 in Rangpur division 183 RANGPUR, April 19, 2021 (BSS) – The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rapidly reached 17,367 in Rangpur division where the infection rate continues rising hastily consistently during the last one month. Health officials said the number of Covid-19 cases rapidly rose to 17,367 as 73 more patients were reported after testing 380 samples at the infection rate of 19.21 percent on Sunday in the division. “The daily infection rate crossed the 10 percent mark on March 24 last for the first time since December 26 last and continues rising in the division,” Focal Person of COVID-19 and Assistant Director (Health) for Rangpur division Dr. ZA Siddiqui told BSS.
