Heaven now has a new visionary to help pollinate and water the artistic gardens above. Dr. Wayne Allen Rahe was born to Emil Rahe Jr. and Pearl Weidner Rahe on December 13th, 1946 and raised as a 4th generation of German heritage in New Braunfels. He had three main passions: art, history, and feet. After graduation from New Braunfels High School in 1965, he went on to get his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Houston. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1973 from Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. His residency was completed at Henrotin Hospital in Chicago. In 1973, he opened his podiatry practice in New Braunfels in the Wright Building. He later bought the building and resided there until his passing. While running his podiatry practice, he also served as Assistant Clinical Professor at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. He closed his practice in 1990 after many years of serving the Ne

BRASHER – The St. Lawrence Central Class of 2021 valedictorian is Chantel McCarthy and the salutatorian is Bailey Brothers.
Chantel is the daughter of Mr. Brent McCarthy and Ms. Tammy McCarthy of Norfolk. She has served as the president of the class of 2021, for the last three years, and as the secretary of the Student Council for the last four years.
She is a member of The Chamber Choir, and The Drama Club where she has performed in six musicals, and is a member of the National Honor Society and The Tri-M Musical Honor Society. She is a Varsity athlete member of Soccer, and Softball, has participated in peer tutoring during her 10th grade year where she tutored a senior student in Geometry, and served as a member of the Whiz Quiz Team during her senior year. Industry heavyweights Hotel Property Investments and Australian Venue Co snapped up the iconic Surfair after a discreet sales campaign by HTL Property s Glenn Price and Brent McCarthy. It is believed the beachfront hotel sold for $20m. Having previously sold the hotel to the Scanlon family s Suncoast Hotel Group, Mr Price said it was rewarding to be tapped again to manage the family s exit.

Listed pub landlord Hotel Property Investments has moved closer to owning a $1 billion portfolio of assets after teaming up with operator Australian Venue Co to acquire the Surfair Beach Hotel south of Noosa.
The $20 million deal to buy the Sunshine Coast venue adjoining Wyndham’s Ramada Hotel at Marcoola Beach was the sixth acquisition by HPI since February last year, when it ended five years’ of abstinence to buy two hotels in Sydney and Brisbane for a combined $60 million.
