The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of outdoor dining. Last spring, around the same time restaurants started opening up with phased restrictions, studies started to come out suggesting that the coronavirus didn’t spread as easily outdoors. Restaurants already equipped with patios had an advantage, as many noted when driving past Hill Station’s lawn-style patio on Kavanaugh Boulevard last summer. Last June, the city of Little Rock announced an outdoor dining initiative allowing restaurants to expand outdoor dining into parking lots, sidewalks and lawns. Some restaurants started thinking outside the box.

In a crowded office at Minneapolis police headquarters, state investigators first met with Chauvin to question him soon after the fatal encounter that would touch off weeks of protests and unrest worldwide. Chauvin declined to be interviewed by authorities, but by then the high-stakes investigation was growing in scope and urgency.
Brush fire breaks out near Springfield
Firefighters responded at about 2 p.m. to a blaze burning along Upper Camp Creek Road.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. A small brush fire broke out near Springfield Thursday afternoon.
Fire officials said about seven acres burned. The fire is now 100% contained. However, they re still investigating the exact cause of the fire.
Crews responded at about 2 p.m. to a blaze burning along Upper Camp Creek Road. A portion of the road was reduced to one lane as crews worked to contain the fire. A helicopter was brought in to do air drops.
