Kansas City-area municipal, school district races set for general election

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Three Kansas City metro mayoral races are clear following Tuesdayâs primary election, and several area school boards and municipalities could have a new makeup with several incumbents set to defend their posts.
OVERLAND PARK
In Overland Park, Mike Czinege garnered 8,989 votes, or 39%, followed by
Ward 2 Councilman Curt Skoog, who received 5,459 votes, or 23%, according to unofficial final results. They will advance to the Nov. 2 general election.
Norma Jean Duncan, 79, of Corbin, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Huie” Duncan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 15, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Brent Carroll and Scott Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Dunn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Hart Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

KBS, one of the largest investors in premier commercial real estate in the nation, announced today that it has sold a 96,502-square-foot building at District 237, an eight-building, 415,492-square-foot, Class A office/R&D complex in San Jose, California. The building at 350 Holger Way, owned by KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II, was sold to Thor Equities for $50.5 million.
