Sarnia police seized over $40,000 worth of Fentanyl and cannabis in a drug bust on Brenchley Street Thursday.
Vice Unit officers executed a search warrant in the 1000 block after arresting a suspect found outside a residence at around 6:25 p.m.
They said 47.41 grams of Fentanyl valued at over $23,000 was seized from inside the residence, as well as 1,510 grams of cannabis (worth $15,100), 25 packages of cannabis edibles (worth $625), 24 packages of cannabis chocolate bars (worth $1,200), and $7,170 in cash.

Sarnia vice unit officers seized $40,700 in drugs and currency and charged a man with trafficking, police say.
Officers found 48 grams of fentanyl valued at nearly $24,000, 1.5 kilograms of cannabis, 25 packages of cannabis edibles, 24 packages of cannabis chocolate bars, and nearly $7,200 in cash while searching a home on Brenchley Street on Thursday evening. A suspect was arrested.

Alexander Lee Bannon, 27, of Sarnia is charged with possessing opioids and cannabis for the purpose of trafficking and has been held for a bail hearing, police said.
