PARKERSBURG The city’s annual paving project starts next week, with some overnight work on Murdoch Avenue beginning today.
A new plating system for the floodwall gate crossing Murdoch Avenue was installed in March. Work on the second phase begins at 8 p.m. today, with a crew paving the approaches to the plates to provide a smooth transition, according to a release from City Engineer Adam Stout.

MURRAY, Ky. (KFVS) - Three people have been charged after arrests in a drug investigation in Calloway County.
Calloway County Sheriffâs Office responded to Brooklyn Drive in Murray over reports of possible drug activity.
30-year-old Theodore âFrankâ Kelly of Murray was arrested and charged with Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, 1st Degree Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Trafficking Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The 21-year-old woman was transported to Duluth after first receiving treatment at a Hibbing hospital.

Shelby Elizabeth Sebesta, 21, was in fair condition, Essentia Health-St. Mary s Medical Center said.
Sebesta was a passenger during the fatal motorcycle crash authorities said began as a road rage incident involving another vehicle.
The driver of the motorcycle, Garry Frank Brill, 46, was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.
The operator of the other vehicle was identified, but not cited, because they were not involved in the crash, Police Chief Steve Estey previously told the News Tribune.
The motorcycle crash was Saturday afternoon.

HIBBING, Minn. What began as a road rage incident ended in the death of a 46-year-old man in Hibbing on Saturday, May 1.
Garry Frank Brill was pronounced dead at the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, shortly after a motorcycle crash on Brooklyn Drive, a Hibbing Police Department news release said Monday.
Brill and a passenger, Shelby Elizabeth Sebesta, 21, lost control of their motorcycle on gravel, causing the crash, the police said. It was determined that the incident began as a road rage incident, involving another vehicle, but the other vehicle was not involved in the (crash), the police said.

A road rage incident happened before a motorcycle crash left one person dead and another injured, according to Hibbing Police Department.
The crash happened Saturday, May 1 around 3:05 p.m. on Brooklyn Drive in front of the Napa Auto Parts store in Hibbing. Officers arrived at the location to find medical staff from the Hibbing Fire Department providing aid to two people who were on the motorcycle.
A 46-year-old man, identified as Garry F. Brill, was taken to Fairview Range hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other person on the motorcycle, a 26-year-old woman, was treated and released from the hospital, police said.
