  The season 17 winner of ‘The Voice’ talent competition TV show will be the headlining musical act at this year’s Trigg County Country Ham Festival. Texas native Jake Hoot will take to the main stage on Saturday, October 9 with the venue site still in the planning stage. During its Tuesday meeting, the ham festival committee heard a report from talent and entertainment chair Brooke Bailey Abner. She said a combination of funds given to the festival by the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism Commission and local sponsorships allowed them to book Hoot as the headlining act. Hoot was named the winner of the 17th season of The Voice in December 2019. His coach was Kelly Clarkson, with who he teamed to release the song “I Would Have Loved You” earlier this year.
